Eligibility Criteria

B.SC in Nursing is an undergraduate course that all medical aspirants can pursue in different B.SC nursing colleges in India. The course, in India, is offered as a 4-year undergraduate programme for all students who have cleared class 12th from the stream of science. The course can be availed at any recognised institute or University, with the apt recognition from the authorised body.

In India, experts have come together and formed a curriculum that is followed across India in all government and private institutions offering the B.SC nursing course. The course has been designed to train and qualify all aspirants into graduates who will be able to practice the art in different settings.

B.SC IN NURSING ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

  • All Candidates must have crossed at least 17 years of age as of 31st December of the year they wish to seek admissions. The Maximum age limit for the course is at 35 years of age by 31st December of the same year.
  • Candidates must have cleared the class 12 board examinations from one of the recognised board education, in the stream of science with Physics, Chemistry and Biology along with English. Candidates will have to individually pass all the mentioned subjects.
  • Candidates will further be required to have obtained 45% aggregate score in the qualifying exam.
  • Since all admissions will be based on the performance in the entrance exam, the candidates will be required to sit for either a state-level entrance exam or university-level entrance exam.

 

B.SC NURSING ADMISSION PROCESS

  • SC Nursing admission process includes appearing for an entrance exam, which will be conducted by either the state or university.
  • Admissions will be made based on merit, which will be calculated using the performance in the entrance exam.
  • Candidates may also be required to sit for a counselling process or be asked to sit for a selection process as defined by the University or college offering the course. For those who have appeared for the state-level entrance exam will be asked to sit for a counselling session, while for those who appeared for a University-level entrance exam, they will be asked to sit for the selection process as defined by the University.
  • Candidate must be Indian national
  • Candidate must be registered with state CET cell Mumbai through online application on website of state CET cell
  • Candidates should have passed in subject of PCB and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 45% marks taken together in PCB at qualification Examination.
  • The candidates belonging to SC/ ST or other backward Classes, the marks obtained in PCB taken together in qualifying examination be 40%.
  • English is compulsory subject in 10+2 for being eligible for admission to B.sc nursing OR as prescribed by the Indian nursing council from time to time.

         There is a wide range of opportunities available in India after finishing BSc nursing. Students can opt for jobs or go for higher studies. Students who want to pursue a career in nursing can get jobs as nursing advisors to the Indian government, nursing assistants, teachers, superintendents, etc.
